Art

JCWWP provides mentorship, tutoring, and ongoing community art workshops and competitions, imparting to youth how to promote peace by expressing their feelings and exercising their creativity with their involvement in visual and performing arts.

WHAT WE DO:

  • Spearhead free visual and performing arts programs for K-8th students
  • Donate art supplies to underserved programs and organizations
  • Provide scholarships for academic or summer enrichment programs for 7th-12th graders

Heart

JCWWP provides peace of mind with health education and programs for families and communities to save lives. The first symptom of Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) is often death, either because the warning signs of an underlying heart condition were not recognized or health was not administered within minutes of the event. In fact, more than 90%1 of SCA victims die because there was a delay in emergency response. SCA is the leading cause of death in the U.S., taking the lives of 356,000 people annually. But what most parents don’t know is that SCA is the #1 killer of student athletes2 and the leading cause of death on school campuses.3 One in 300 youth has an undetected heart condition that puts them at risk.4 In fact, an estimated 7,000 to 23,0005 youth are stricken annually. More

WHAT WE DO:

  • Provide free heart health education, CPR6 & AED7 training
  • Offer free heart screenings to youth and young adults ages 12-24
  • Donate Automatic External Defibrillators (AED’s) to underserved organizations

Peace

JCWWP provides workshops, webinars, and community events to educate parents and children on nurturing and promoting peace. JCWWP uses the Ceeds of Peace model.

WHAT WE DO:

  • Encourage students, teachers, and communities to learn the essentials for raising peacebuilders through collaboration, compassion, courage, and a sense of community, conflict-resolution, and critical thinking
  • Mentor youth and young adults to contribute and live-in peace and harmony
